The bamboo floss is great!

I’ve been experimenting with a number of different flosses from different companies for many years. This is the first floss (bamboo) that doesn’t break on my tight contacts. I use a little glass jar in my drawer and the floss is collected there until full and then put into my compost bin. Love not creating more plastic waste twice a day! Love that it’s easy to use and refills come quickly. Thank you! I haven’t tried the corn or silk varieties since they were way worse for breaking with other companies, but it looks like it might be worth trying based on the reviews. Is the silk floss vegan ie. are the silk worms killed to extract their silk? Lastly, where are the flosses made? I’ll give you top scores if it’s made in Canada and not imported.

How long does this zero-waste product last?

If your already purchased our in its glass container, keep this container and use it again and again. The refills will be shipped in a biodegradable box. This packaging can be thrown into your recycle bin.

What traditional plastic bathroom product does this replace?

Nylon dental floss.

Traditional dental floss is usually made from either nylon (petroleum), teflon (the chemical mouthful polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)), or synthetic wax (petroleum).

These toxins can be absorbed into your bloodstream during those times that you floss a little too hard, or it’s been, say, longer than the suggested three times a day since your last floss.

Discarded dental floss cannot be recycled, takes 30-80 years to break down, and can be harmful to wildlife.

Floss refills replace the need for plastic dental floss containers and allow you to refill and reuse instead.

How do I use this zero-waste product?

Pull out about 18 inches of floss, cut on the lid of the container.
Wind the floss around your fingers (no need to get all tangled!).
Slide floss gently up and down between your teeth.

*Take care around your gum line.

At the gum line, curve floss into a C-shape against your tooth and gently slide into the space between the gum and your tooth.
Repeat for each tooth.
